A Very UHF MMP

I think we’ll have deviled eggs for supper. I boiled a dozen eggs earlier today, and 2 of them exploded in the pan making a gawd-awful mess. So I’ll have 10 to slice and re-stuff. Yum!

Off to the kitchen with me!

Did the cause involve chickens or too many stops at XXX-Burgers? :stuck_out_tongue:

I envy you both; Indiana has some terrific small and large colleges. Much better than PA.

Actually, my sophomore at PU was marked by my misconception that Animal House was a documentary. I never did patronize the XXX, I was much more a Harry’s Chocolate Shop person, whenever I could get past the door bouncer, that is.
Harry’s CS did not sell any chocolate, FWIW.

I am unfamiliar with Harry’s Chocolate Shop, but had I visited, I’d have been crushed and disappointed. Being, for the most part, 5 years older than the majority of my classmates, I didn’t socialize pretty much at all when I was at Purdue. In fact, the most active part of my social life was babysitting for fellow Navy students while they went out and had fun.

**BBBobbio **- you didn’t by chance live in Cary Quad, did you?

Eggs are deviled. Dunno what I’ll do for sides, since the entree is usually an appetizer. Too bad I don’t have salad fixin’s. Oh well, we’ll figger something out.

Woke up and it’s freaking SUNNY. Arrgghhh, I don’t want sun. I live in Arizona, we get sun all the time.

Me, I live for rainy days. I want to wake up with it dark and overcast and drizzling sometime. I don’t think I have for a few months or years.

No. I was in the now defunct Terry Courts.

So you were never a participant in the Nude Olympics? Or were they banned by the time you got there?

I lived across the river. No way I’d want to live in dorms at 23 - I’d had enough of that crap in Navy Barracks!

Howdy from da cave! I did not stop at the sto’ to get a rotissed chikin. OYKW called me before I left irk to say he wasn’t hongry and didn’t know if he would be so not to go out of the way to make foodstuff unless I wanted to eat. Truth is, I’m not really hongry either, so any ingestion of victuals tonight shall be of the forage da fridge type if so desired. On the plus side, he is spendin’ the night. YAY!

Thoughtless I take it then that It was a dark and stormy night is more of a fantasy for you than a cheesy first sentence in a bad novel.

That’s funny. One of my sisters was a liberal hippie type at GC but became the family’s only Republican once she got all yuppified. :stuck_out_tongue:

That sounds very possible. Thanks. Now I can look him up. His wiki article says he was dressed as a sailor, which I don’t remember particularly. Although this looks familiar. Yeah, I think you’ve nailed it.

We were definitely in the South Bay, but down the hill in Lomita. It’s not quite two square miles, so it’s easy to miss.

I think I’ll find some more yarn and a new project so I can be productive as I recline.

MWAH!

Swap?

I live in England, 'nuff said.

Sounds delish. And I hope you have a nice night!

Definitely!

I always wanted to learn how to knit or crochet…seems to me it would be a nice, quiet, relaxing way to pass the time. All I’d need then is a warm fireplace to do it in front of on a chilly night.
Er..not that we get any of THOSE in Arizona, since we don’t even get any STINKIN’ RAIN, but the thought is there in my mind.
Or maybe I’ve been watching too many movies and reading too many stories and have too much of a “storybook picturesque” of it in my mind.

After cleaning up in the Deli Aftermath, Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) would not eat those rotisserie chickens for a very long time. Dishwasher Stew ain’t in it.

Worked. The truck looked like it had been loaded by oversugared toddlers with ADD. I napped, now it’s hockey time.

The :eek:Wally*World:eek: we frequent has been evacuated due to a bomb threat! Glad I’m not there or anywhere around it right now. The local teevee station showed some live footage of traffic backed up and at a standstill all around there right now.

Do I even want to know what that is?

I’m fearing it’s similar to an evil brew created by the bubble dancers at the tea shop - when the teapots are washed, they get a dunk in water, swirled a bit and the old tea leaves are dumped out into a bucket. Unfinished cups of tea also get dumped in this, so it doesn’t take long for an unholy mix of Earl Grey, orange spice, rooibois, PG Tips, and cocoa to accumulate.

A bomb threat at Wal Mart causes a traffic jam?
Were they hoping for a fire sale?

No, no, no. The correct way to ask is “What does that mean, dishwasher stew?”

Time to purchase IPad for BEARS?
