Well it is purely charity from my site. People here are depending on my little answers to keep going.
And since I always work in the late evening and during a great part of the night, coming on this thread is like having a refreshing shower.
But don’t be afraid that I’ll burn out by doing this. It is a pleasure.
Besides: I shall be much too busy the coming weeks to be much around. So I give you people some food to survive on.
Like I say: pure charity out of compassion.
It really does blow the mind. It’s not like I don’t post a good bit here and yet in two days he has almost 10% of the number of my posts and I’ve been here two years and four months.
Hey, Big Ball o’ Flaming Gasses, what about Unitarian-Universalists (originated in England)? I guess they’re Protestants by default but they certainly don’t fall into their little categories.
Aldebaran, I hope you aren’t put off by the schoolchildish “pranks” of some other posters - pulling your pigtails, dipping them in the inkwell etc. It’s sort of a traditional “welcome” ceremony that we do here. Anyway, you are a “funny dude” and I hope you have a rare good time interacting with your fellow cosmopolites.
Congrats on your language skills! Most posters here are fluent only in their own tongues, and that may be pushing it for more than a few ppl, er, people.
Your sig is neat! And as the great philosopher S.J. Perelman used to say, “De Gustibus ain’t what it used to be.”
Oh, yes; I´m childish (by the way, what kind of obsession do you have with 12 year old children?)
Oh, and I don`t live nowhere near the USA…
Seriously speaking, thou… in some of your posts you´ve done some sound comments and arguments; however (and using a metaphor) no matter if you are the greatest painter in the world, but alas, if you paint with shit, people will frown at your work… get it?
Did anyone else notice the… oddness… about the time scale here? From 6:20 PM on the 20th to 1:26 AM on the 21st, Alderbaran posted pretty much non-stop. (He said at 9: 34 that he had “to get some sleep.”, but continued posting.) After a six-hour break, he posted continually from 7:39 AM on the 21st until 9:26 AM, then from 10:11 AM to 12:15 PM, then from 1:42 PM to 8:41 PM, his last post thus far. (All times Central Time, at GMT -6.) That means that from 6:20 PM on the 20th to 8:41 PM on the 21st, a period of about 22 hours, he was online posting for about 14 solid hours. Let me repeat that: 14 solid hours. I’m not sure what this means, but I can’t think of a good explanation.
