A "What the fuck?" to TheWhoToTheWhatNow

I don’t carry guns, usually. There’s a lot of places that prohibit firearms on the property.

Plus, of course, this.

Oh, that’s too funny. I predict this poster will have a long and happy life here.

I hate football and country music, too. And I’ve never owned a horse, not even a pony, or a steer/cow/bull.

Interesting, a post has been deleted, and I suspect the poster has been banned, all without mention from a mod.

I KNOW YOUR SECRET CREATURE OF THE NIGHT
I am in agreement with this pitting. and i want pancakes.

I saved the post, just in case. And it was 2 posts, as Lynn deleted one of mine.

I only know because of the email notification containing the text, which I will keep and treasure.

Can you PM me the contents of your deleted post?

You don’t sound like you’re fond of western music either. Must be sad to have no music in your life. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ooh, secrets! While I am more than willing to share things I know with others, in this instance, I think discretion is the order of the day and ask that we not request copies in-thread.

Strange things are happening at the one two point.

But I do have music in my life! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RtUTiz2zr4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2s9f-M45toE&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCHD5Qudqc0&feature=related

Sorry, it was a poorly expressed reference to a scene in The Blues Brothers.

Yep, the psychology behind how our perspectives influence how we view events can be a messed up concept. I was simply pointing that concept out and saying that I’ve seen it in various forms in my experience, but I repeatedly said that I’m not saying it’s something I endorse or participate in. I have friends who get into bar fights, and I acknowledge it’s something that happens and I have experience with “that kind of thing” because I’m around them and see bar fights in general, but that doesn’t mean I support them. I’m simply making an observation.

To then imply “well you know about it and said you have experience with that kind of thing, so you MUST have done it, and if you haven’t you’re probably GOING to do it, so let’s just call you an assaulter(is that a word?) right now!!!111” is some ol’ bullshit.

I don’t know, you’ll have to ask someone who rapes women and makes them rapecakes afterward. I’ve stated numerous times that I back off when I get a firm no, and that my answer to the “do you have experience with this kind of thing” was because I thought youwiththeface meant “the general psychology of the situation with regards to sex”. If they had asked “do you have experience with having sex with women who protest the entire time and making them rapecakes after to smooth it over?” I would have said no, but the question was vague enough for my response to be interpreted in whatever way suited their agenda.

My bad, if I had realized they were looking to tar and feather me my response would have been “yes, I have experience with the general concept of how you handle a situation altering the person’s perspective of it, like I’ve opted not to cuddle a chick at times and noticed from her body language and behavior afterward that she felt sluttier than the girls I cuddle with afterward do, but if you’re asking if I’ve specifically done what I described in my theoretical exaggerated example for the sake of discussion, then no, I have not rapecaked a chick.”

I’m honestly not used to such a hostile crowd in general, I usually give people the benefit of the doubt. If someone said they wanted to kill their co-worker for eating their sandwich at lunch I wouldn’t assume they were actually planning to execute a murder. Or I would at least ask them specifically “Wait are you saying that you’re planning to execute a murder?” not “Wait so are you saying you have experience with this kind of thing?” (which to the person “this kind of thing” could mean “being upset with a co-worker”)

It’s what I do. Before I got into PUA I was a people-watcher in general. It’s really not that difficult for me. Look at the “can you tell which smile is real/fake?” thread, lots of people got a solid 18+ score. Most people just generally don’t make reading people a hobby and develop the skill to an extreme, the same way most people are capable of having a body like Bruce Lee but not everyone puts in the time/work to develop it. Most of the world being out of shape doesn’t mean Bruce Lee’s body didn’t exist.

Agreed, I’m very wary despite my skill at reading body language. That’s why, as I explained in my first post in that thread:
Both can run into the situation you described, of not comprehending that a woman wouldn’t want to have sex with him because they believe every woman wants to have sex with him, but the guy who gets laid a lot is just confused by it and thinks the girl is silly in the way you’d think someone was silly if you tried to hand them a million dollars and they refused it, but after a couple offers to find out if they’re actually serious because it’s such a silly notion, he backs off because shit, if you don’t want this million dollars okay it’s no skin off my back someone else will take it ya weirdo.
I’m fine with people not agreeing with my views, it’s just the accusations of “you talked about rape and said you’ve been in situations that could go either way so I’m just going to assume that you’ve done it and label you a rapist!!!” that are annoying.

Like this silly shit, bolding mine:

I’d swear there was one by Margin saying I likely rape too, but I can’t find it now. Either way, this “I’ve already judged, juried, and executioned you” thing is the only part I really have qualms with, especially when I made sure to point out repeatedly that it’s not what I do and that I err on the side of caution not rape.

Bolding mine. No I didn’t, I specifically said over and over that it’s not a dating strategy. All I defended it as was “something that’s possible given the psychology involved”.

Uhh ya it does, if you’re going to call me a rapist or imply that I’m raping or will be raping. The enacting part is the whole point. If you say it’s possible to kill someone with a rock that doesn’t mean you endorse killing people with rocks.

That’s where the disconnect is. What you wrote in quotes is a logical statement. The part where you apply a “because you acknowledge it’s existance must mean you SUPPORT it” twist to it is completely in your own head and unfair.

Disco Stu doesn’t cuddle!

For a champion reader of human nature, you sure seem to have missed the fact that you posted it in a thread about whether or not women deserved to be raped, you complete moron. Hey, I know–“I’m just going to start posting about how rape is all in how smooth the guy is and not in the actions he takes, and claim that’s what some PUAs do. Did I mention I’m a PUA? I’m the baddest PUA in town, I’m so slick. That’s not me, though, I don’t play it that way.” Doesn’t exactly ring true, does it, chimp?

Besides which your silly continuing backpedal regarding ywtf’s direct question about whether you’d experienced such a thing that was so clear as to be impossible to misunderstand in the way you’re claiming to do so.

And your statement that rape can be blithely smoothed over by a guy being nice afterwards (exact words: “The emotions the girl feels after the event are primarily in the rapist’s hands.”) is a dick move. Basically, you’re slime, you come across as creepy, and you are so poor at articulating your ideas in a non-creepy, non-slimy manner that no one on here actually believes you get laid as often as you claim you do. You’d also trying to claim you’re an expert reader of human communication/intention and that you totally misread an obvious question, which doesn’t help your credibility either.

Hey, Zeriel, you seem upset, how about we cuddle and I’ll make you some rape cakes?

That would imply you needed to convince me that I wasn’t actually unwilling.

“How YOU doin’?” seems so right and simultaneously inappropriate here.

I suppose that’s a reasonable answer, but I would still have liked to see some reference to a battle-axe.

Most places prohibit battle axes, too, and the axes are even harder to conceal than handguns.

I generally use battle axes when I play dwarven characters in D&D. One of my first DMs would give dwarves a racial bonus (+1 to hit) to dwarves wielding any axe or hammer. Also, I just felt that dwarves and axes go together well.

Hey, Chronos, dwarves STILL rule, and elves STILL drool!
