A worthy cause? Cancer research...

My computer just finished a 12 hour long conformer-crunching session. Last time I checked it was at 99% . . . there were a whopping 280 hits :eek:! If I end up with empty webspace, I’ll post a link.

I was gonna come in here and blow you all away with the 132 hits I had today, but 280 is a bit better than 132. It must be that new blue structure (I forget it’s name).

Don’t install this on a computer you don’t own (such as your employee machine at work) unless you’re sure you have permission to do so. An employee of a state university in, I believe, Georgia, was recently sent to prison for “theft of computing services” because he installed the distributed.net (cryptographic codebreaking) client on several university-owned computers without permission. Don’t count on the fact that the project in question has “good motives” to keep you out of jail.

I’m bumping this thread after seeing it in Coldfire’s sig and noticing that the link in the OP to the team page is no longer valid. This link will take you there now. I signed up a couple days ago. It’s nice. A great cause and the program is very unobtrusive.
