OK I have been on the SDMB for a year now ! It is time for me to look at what have I learned in that year.
I have learned that I am not as stupid as I thought I was.
That some of the greatest, most caring people in the world are here.
I have learned I can love people I have never met IRL.
That this place addictive.
I guess I’ll have to stay. 
Awww, how sweet. While not mundane or pointless I suppose it does belong here as the board lacks a “silly and sentimental treacle.” 
All in good humor Ayesha. I’m a long way from my year but have gained a lot from the folks of SDMB.
A whole YEAR! Wow. Who’d a thunk it, eh? 
I have to agree with you on what you said, I’ve learned the same things myself. Here’s to many more years here!!
