Back for one more post to say “nighty-night” to all my fellow a-threaders. Sleep well. I expect to be cooking up a storm come tomorrow.

Come back Swampy, I didn’t really shoot you - it was just a fantasy dream sequence for the book. All is forgiven. See you soon.

Now to bed!

Dear Dopers–I am so glad to be back here again at the “a” club!

Entering again into the fray eh viva? Was it hard to quit the first time?

Fighting doggedly onward to page 100…

Good morning!

Hope everyone slept well.

I forgot to put my order in last night, but I’m sure the talented Watcher will oblige none the less:

Just a bowl of plain yogurt topped with sliced fruit today.

Kings and queens must watch their figures, you know.

Lest we get so big they can’t fit our portraits onto the coinage.

Mornin’ Everyone.

Numismatic thoughts…Does it seem to anyone we’re missing a bet with our boring coin values? Anyone can make change in his sleep with 1/5/10/25 cent pieces on hand. What about if the coins went 1/7/13/32? Getting change counted out (with the fewest possible number of coins, naturally) would require more attention, right? Built in arithmatic practice for young’uns. Make cashier’s jobs less robotic. Seems like a good plan to me.

Of course, SBS, it’s not like the young uns actually make change any more – they let the cash register do the subtraction for them. “When I was a lass…”

Please, Grandma… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: You’re missing the point. Even supposing the screen tells the cashier to give back 46 cents. Quick, which coins should it be? (using 1/7/13/32)

Quite a different set of bill valuations would be needed, too, to maintain the brain exercise. Like, in even numbered months, the bill are: 2, 8, 17, 19 and in odd months, 1, 9, 15, 24. That’ll keep 'em on their toes.

Right, …

Simple, really, …

That’d be …

Uhhhhh…

Very interesting proposals, SBS

We humbly petition you to wait until the fever subsides before you implement these plans.
;j

Xtremely disappointed in you, Twickster.

You don’t see the genius in these plans?

Zero coin: I forgot to mention that one! Now, when you say, “I couldn’t care less,” you’ll have a coin to use to prove it!

And we begin again for the 90-hundredth time. Good mornin’ to all.
Again switches to official capacity and serves up a nice mushroom & cheese omelet for twicks, a dry untoasted bagel and a steaming cup of hot black coffee for FallFast, and for SBS our fearless ruler of the universe, a bowl of plain yogurt topped with sliced fruit with all best wishes for a calm day today in the royal digestive tract.
Happy Thursday everybody.

Been missing posting here I have, since I had to be gone for 8 days. Homebrew! [sub]It’s been a long time since I flirted.[/sub]

Celebrations will ensue, swampbearhomebrew has been mooning about here like, well, a big moony homebrew.

Delicious omelet, watcher – what is that subtle blend of cheeses?

Every good omelet deserves that special “a-thread” blend of cheese.

Welcome back Swampy! Once again I can’t stop saying Homebear and Swampbrew.

Finally Swampy is back. Homebrew has been lonely.

Good golly Miss Molly, How this thread has grown!
