Not that I was anywhere close to one of the cities that got hit, but god, I would have driven.

AMD [aka=gods of processor making], for the past seven days or so, has been giving away their new 1.8Ghz processors with motherboards, heatsinks, and fans.

I live here in Atlanta and the closest one was either Houston or Boston, but if I had known sooner…dang.

You really wouldn’t believe what I would have done to get my hands on one of those sweeeeeet setups. Dang, now I’m gonna have to wait for them to become a little less pricy…

Hi Dlgirl! Sorry I havn’t written in so long, things have been a bit hectic around here at work, we just layed off 6,000 people, my department is coming under new managment and were being slapped with three new technologies - VoIP, CPE IVPN, and Network IVPN. That coupled with buying the new house and getting ready to propose has left me a wreck.

I was there for the Houston one. Didn’t get one. I was probably about the 80th person to show up, at 3:30 in the morning. By 6am, well over 1000 were there.
The odds of winning still were about one in 5, but I wasn’t one of the lucky ones.
