Aaliyah dead in plane crash

I just found out about this a little while ago on another board. It’s a shame, she was one of the few R&B artists that I enjoyed, and it looked like she might have a promising acting career ahead of her as well.

She wasn’t even 21 yet. Thats even more of a shame. People so young, don’t deserve to die.

It can happen to anyone - flying is inherently dangerous. Military pilots and crews, search and rescue crews go out in all sorts of bad weather, crash, and there seems to be no great outpouring of grief. I know she was a celebrity, but I’ve always found it somewhat odd. Everyone knows her name, but I bet hardly anyone knows the names of any of the last military pilots to plow in. I guess it’s a media priority thing, I dunno.

Don’t take this the wrong way, I’ve come close to burning in and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, believe me.

You know, I really must be out of touch. Yesterday, someone said that Aaliyah was in a plane crash and I asked how many people were hurt.

Y’see, I thought Aaliyah was like some middle-eastern airline or something.

People, this is a duplicate thread.

Unfortunately, from what I saw on the news, it was an overloaded airplane (luggage wasn’t balanced). If they flew into a storm, well . . .

I’m not an R&B type, but I did think she had serious potential after Romeo Must Die. . .

And only at 22. :frowning:

A tragedy. Really, a tragedy . .
