An egg has not been fertilized yet.
Ah, but unlike an idiot, I know there’s a distinction between thought and action.
You’re an idiot, by the way. And a troll.
Watching **Czarcasm **arguing with **classyladyhp **is about like what I imagine watching a boxing match between Evander Holyfield and a paraplegic would be like.
If you had any guts(or a shred of honesty), you would just say that you refuse to give any answer that you couldn’t find on a bumper sticker. All you’ve got are slogans and word games.
Troll answer to the above: I don’t even own a car!
See, it’s the answer that gets to contradict the assumption.
No. I find that you have been arrogant and disrespectful in all your posts directed at me. It’s my choice not to respond to your questions. All this time I thought you were pro-choice:smack:
hahahahhah
I predict you’ll be more interesting in a discussion once you figure out how the English language works. Hint; Not that way.
You’re a loser. Take care. I don’t respect you or your dumb opinions.
Isn’t it sad that no one would be surprised if she did respond with something along those lines?
I see the troll can’t answer this one can he? Stop picking on me because I reveal how dumb you are.
Fallacy of the excluded middle.
Just because some arguments are complex, it doesn’t mean all are. Or to put it less flowery, just because there is a twilight doesn’t mean there is no day or night.
In complex areas people of integrity with differing ideas start from they have common ground and work from there.
ETA: Your posts are getting more and more strident sounding. Is that how you really want to present yourself?
That’s nice.
That still doesn’t prove there is no harm in thinking a newborn is not a person but carry on.
…that’s terrific. I am fully aware of the English language and I am also fluent in 2 other languages:rolleyes:
All this time I thought that the subject of this thread was picketers:dubious:
It’s time for you to sharpen up those reading comprehension skills. I’m sending you some hooked on phonics.
You… you ARE aware that you’re the paraplegic in this analogy, right?
Better put a speak-and-spell on that order for yourself, then, as well as a remedial grammar text. Might want to start with the section where they tell you how many periods there are in an ellipsis, although a refresher on what nouns need to be capitalized would also be a good start. Once you get that straightened out, we can work on the missing commas.
Just think, in a year or two you might be in shape to start an intro to rhetoric and debate class!
Complaining about the thread drifting after you’ve been a prime mover of the drift is also priceless.
And AGAIN you show your complete ignorance on the subject, and that you don’t read the replies of others, but rather that you skim posts for things that you can take offense to.
I had pre-eclampsia/toxemia. I had my eyes and heart permanently damaged from carrying a pregnancy to term. I could not find a doctor who would even tie my tubes before I was thirty five or forty, until I went to see several shrinks to certify that I knew that I’d be permanently sterile, and I had to get several MDs to sign off on the sterilization, on the grounds that I’d probably die if I tried to carry another pregnancy to term. And since my husband was in the military, there was no guarantee that I could stay in the US, and every possibility that I’d be in some country where abortions are illegaly, and no way to get out in time.
As for having a hysterectomy, again, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Reputable doctors WILL NOT remove a healthy organ from the body. Even if a woman should not get pregnant, even if she’s had a tubal, even if she’s had her ovaries removed, they are NOT going to remove the uterus if it’s healthy. It goes against their ethics.
I’ll grant that there are plenty of unethical doctors out there, but really, I don’t want one of them operating on me. I might wind up dead, or only embarrassingly disfigured. Even though I don’t have a penis, I do have other body parts that I’m quite fond of, and which I don’t want harmed.
Which languages do you claim to be fluent in, then? Because you consistently misuse English words. You seem to pick up words randomly, and try to use them in a context which is inappropriate.
For instance, you kept using “troll” to mean “person who disagrees with me”, when that’s not what it means at all.
Troll- an inflammatory claim that probably shouldn’t be aimed at posters who have been here for years, posting in threads in various forums, on diverse topics.
Do any of the pro-life posters feel like clarifying how they plan to reduce the demand for abortions?
Not by making abortion illegal- which reduces safety and access, but not demand.
What are your proposals that would give women who feel abortion is their best option a viable alternative?
How would you plan to fund these plans?
If that question is too hard- here’s an easier one.
If you agree that abortion may be permissible to save a woman’s life (and at least CLHP thinks that) how much risk does there have to be on her life?
100% certain death if the pregnancy continues?
90%?
75%?
50%?
20%?
10%?
1%?
What, if any, evidence can you use to justify the “acceptable” level of risk of death you have decided upon?
When come back, please bring answers.
I understand the moral obligation. I just want people to consider the facts and the real world implications of their beliefs and the actions they take because of them.
I’d like to understand and explore what other moral obligations go along with their beliefs and actions. Such as, offering real world help to pregnant women and the children you insist they are morally bound to have.
