About Bothers Four

an old band of folks in 50’s or 60’s in america,do u remember?

their songs such as “where have all the flowers gone”…“try to remember”…“greenleaves”…so many…sounds good…

Yes- a Kingston Trio style folk group. As I vaguely recall, like the Highwaymen, they were college frat brothers. From the Pacific NW, Washington? Flowers was a Kingston Trio hit, Try to Remember, done by many, but not a hit for Brothers Four. The only one I recall is “greenleaves…”

Yep, four fraternity brothers from the University of Washington, who carried their career into the 90s. Big hits were “Greenfields” and “The Green Leaves of Summer” and “Frogg,” based on the old “Froggy Went A’ Courtin.’”

Nice folks, multitalented and were a big hit in Japan following the fade of folk music from the pop charts here.
