It’s possible. One of my sons broke two teeth and chipped a third during an epileptic seizure (which hit him while he was in the school toilets). The day of the seizure, the poor kid looked like hell - bruises, swelling, even dried blood until we could wash it off. Within a few days, however, the swelling and bruising was much better. The damaged teeth had to wait until the dentist could get temporary crowns on them, which ended up taking a few weeks.
So it’s possible that we’re looking at the results several days after a fight, when the swelling and bruising had healed but the damaged teeth had not yet been repaired. Or it could be that we’re looking at damage from a completely different source. I have no opinion because this is really for the courts to decide.
Looking at that photo I can’t see evidence of abuse (she looks completely normal to me) but I don’t doubt at all that she was abused.
Oh it’s possible, I got jumped back in 1997 and they cracked 7 teeth. I didn’t look bad at all.
My front of the face wasn’t it. I got hit on the sides.
If I had been able to get to the dentist to have him fix them all at once, I could’ve saved most of them. The thing was they didn’t break them, they cracked them. Since I didn’t have dental insurance, I could only afford to fix one tooth at a time. Of course you did the visable ones first.
But the ones with the cracks broke, eventually. So Gibson could’ve just cracked the tooth and if she didn’t fix it right away, it may not have actually broken off till weeks later. Thus no swelling.
