Any of you guys seen an official academic transcript that had the words “provided solely for” followed by the student’s name? Or does that generally render the thing unofficial?
Those are unofficial. Official transcripts are sent directly from the school to the recipient, and don’t pass through the student’s hands at all.
Right, what was confusing about this situation was that it was sent straight to the company meant ot receive it, and was sent as a result of a request for an official transcript, but had the words “solely for” studentname printed on it.
Poking around a little it looks like it’s most normal for those words to indicate a transcript is unofficial, no matter how it got to the school.
Weird. I’d guess it was a mistake by a work-study student in the registrar’s office. Call them and ask them to resend it.
