I’m pretty happy with the winners. They spread the love around.

I’m glad that There Will Be Blood got 2, I only expected 1.

I loved seeing the Coens up on stage, and I cracked up when they showed that picture of “Roderick Jaynes.” If they had won I wonder if they would have gotten up on stage, or if we would have heard “Roderick Jaynes couldn’t be with us tonight.”

Very happy for Marion. She was adorable and definitely didn’t expect to win. I expected Julie and she looked like she was genuinely happy for Marion.

Very happy for The Golden Compass. That was the most unexpected win of the night.

VERY happy for Tilda! Ruby Dee looked pissed off. Tilda’s was the best speech.

Fun night for the Bourne Ultimatum folks.

VERY happy for Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, and it was wonderful that they let Marketa come back and say what she wanted to say. I don’t think that’s ever happened before!

Poor Amy Adams. That song needed a production number, and the production number that they did do for “That’s How You Know” really needed Amy Adams. I don’t know the woman who sang it, but the whole thing was flat.

As an Atheist, the Coens are as close as it gets to deities for me. It was pretty exciting to see them pick up Best Picture, Director, and Adapted Screenplay. I especially liked the best director acceptance.

Falling Slowly was a nice win as well. Overall a very satisfying academy awards. I can’t say I was unhappy with any of the wins.

Thanks for the list, Equipoise. I didn’t see a single movie last year, so I have no investment in the Oscars, but I’m pleasantly surprised with the Best Actress winner. Seems like an unusual choice.
