Actually, I’ve been reading the conservative blogs. Most have been condemning (to the point where one accused the others of throwing O’Keefe under the bus unfairly); Michelle Malkin, in fact, deliberately said that this was no time to joke or to accuse Democrats/liberals of a setup.
Mostly, they seem concerned that this will tarnish what O’Keefe did with ACORN, and the fact that the whole thing was so clearly stupid.

Regarding the ACORN affair, virtually ignored by many right wingers was what I call a “Balloon Boy “it was for a show”” moment.
It was when the last revelation tape on acorn was posted and it was found that the acorn worker talking about murdering her husband produced evidence that she was pulling a “Colbert” on the intrepid pimp, that evidence was simply showing that her ex was alive and well.
Remembering how even on the early tapes the ACORN workers insisted to him that she should report her work as a “performer” I wonder now if the workers fired in that fiasco also saw through the “pimp” and the “hooker”. The workers most likely saw those guys as really actors in a play, what the workers did not know was that the play was a political one.
seriously, are there any voices of reason and sanity on that board? I don’t mean liberals or even moderates necessarily, just non-crazy conservatives who ever put the brakes on and say “hey, wait a minute, you guys are getting WAAAYYY too carried away here.”

Damned if I know, DtC…certainly I’m not seeing any in that particular thread, and honestly that’s nearly the sum total of my personal experience with that board. Based on that thread, however, I’d have to go with ‘no’ as the general answer to ‘seriously, are there any voices of reason and sanity on that board?’. After laughing my ass off reading through the thread I started to get this hinky feeling, thinking about how crazy they all seemingly are. I mean, I know there are some bat shit nutters out there, but seeing them in such a concentration is bound to give anyone pause…

I’m glad I’ve rarely gone to the Freeper board.
Clearly this is further proof of how evil and corrupting ACORN is - after only brief exposure to them, this poor honest lad turned to a life of crime. Is no one safe from these monsters? Won’t someone please think of the children?
