The Census Bureau on Friday severed its ties with ACORN, a community organization that has been hit with Republican accusations of voter-registration fraud.
Now I’m no fan of Glenn Beck; I find his on-air personality overly dramatic and very irritating. But I will make it a point to support his sponsors from now on. The thought of Obama’s ACORN loons having anything to do with the national census was terrifying to millions of intelligent Americans. And the idea that the Census Bureau is dropping ACORN because of, ahem, “Republican accusations of voter-registration fraud” is laughable.
In case you missed Beck’s expose, a couple posed as a pimp and prostitute and secretly filmed Obama’s buddies telling them how to cheat on their taxes, legally practice prostitution and find ways to sneak underage illegal immigrants from El Salvador into the US and declare them as independents so they could work as hookers!
I seriously wonder if this type of thing was going on while Obama was involved with the group; I wonder what he knew and when he knew it; I wonder if he will now try to distance himself from this despicable group.
Man, it’s too bad ACORN got politicized by people like yourself and even worse that sane, rational people followed suit. They do some really good work for those most in need.
You’re actually defending their actions? Even after they’ve fired at least 4 employees? And please describe these people you find “most in need.” Are you talking about child prostitutes? Or just tax cheats?
Well, you’re really Pitting ACORN, far as I can see. Anyway, was this monkeywrenching operation set up and financed by Beck? I thought he was just reporting it. I first heard about it on Limbaugh’s program yesterday, and far as I know he picked it up off a wire report.
Anyway, what I’ve heard so far is too weird and garbled to make much sense, so until I get home and read a bit more I’m gonna stay right out of the yee-haw fest this is turnng into.
There is no mention of the loathsome Mr. Beck in the article. Perhaps your civic pride was overawed by such luminaries as Rep. Bachmann (R-Batshit) and Rep. Vitter (R-Hotterville). And of course Rep Shelby (R-Me Hearties! Arrrr!).
No gathering of the intellectual lights of the Republican Party would be complete without such glittering adornments, whose combined intellectual firepower might well be a match for day old cole slaw.
Still, you guys get so little to gloat about these days, it would be petty and mean-spirited to begrudge you this little cackle of glee.
Politicized during the last election. Depending on how this shakes out, the employees may or may not of fucked up. Regardless, the only way you can describe the reaction some people have towards them, rightards such as yourself, is “politically motivated.”
