Across the Universe, and its treatment of "Let it Be"

I’ve spent tonight watching the movie, “Across the Universe,” and I’ve been particularly struck by the film’s rendering of the song, “Let it Be.”

It is powerful! We go from a young black boy singing the song during the Detroit riots of 1967, to the boy’s funeral, accompanied by a Gospel choir. This is all interspersed with shots of a white Vietnam veteran’s funeral. It is a very moving. very powerful, piece of cinema.

What other cinematic moments have moved you?
