…I just don’t have internet access since my computer won’t arrive for 3 weeks. I write this from a public library. Just a quick update for anyone who may care:
I left my mother-in-law’s house as she had turned very cruel towards me. As it turned out apartments are dirt cheap in Wichita and I was able to get a decent little one room studio place the same day. I stayed with my friend from the base I came from, at the base here, for a few days and she helped me greatly in getting the apartment!
I’m working at walmart, not the world’s best job by any means but it pays decently, especially for this city’s cost of living. I have no car nor a lisence but I have always been a huge walker and walking a mile to work each day doesn’t faze me as it would many people. (This is a driving city where noone walks.)
Ooh gotta go/… write more soon.
Just thought it important that someone recognize your liveliness. Lifehood. Not deadness. Whatever. Sorry about the Wal*Mart gig, that place and Sam’s drive me crazy, and I swear never to return after every visit. Then I eventually forget why I hate the place and return. It’s a never ending but not oft repeated cycle. I can’t imagine working there. Hope you find something better soon. The MIL gig doesn’t sound too cool, either. But at least you have your health.
I’d been watching your threads before. I’m very happy to hear you are out of her house and on your own. Wal-Mart isn’t glamorous, but it’s a paycheck. Good for you!
Hooray!!! Hooray for you!!
I’m so glad to hear the update. You have landed on your feet, and that’s gotta feel good, doesn’t it?
Now, it’s yardsale season here. Do you need anything for the new apartment? I got stuff, I got boxes, I’m willing to help.
Keep us informed, hon. I’ve been thinking of you.
acrossthesea, I haven’t responded to your posts before, but I have followed your story. I just wanted to tell you that you should be proud of yourself!
I am happy! It will be good when my stuff gets here so that I can have internet access regularly again. Sorry about the abrupt end to my last post, but my time was up on the computer I was on.
I have lots of stuff for my apartment coming soon, my things from Japan. But thanks everyone for being so supportive!
I’ve also been reading your posts. You’re doing an excellent job. Most likely the hardest part is all over, the rest will be enjoyable struggle uphill. Way better than flying downhill 100mph outta control.
