My local NBC affiliate just reported that the shooter is dead.
It was a woman shooter.

Seems to be some crazy lady that was mad at YouTube for taking down her videos for terms-of-service violations.
Also, “militant vegan” doesn’t seem to be an exaggeration here.
Not sure how she got into the building. I wonder if we’ll see a general hardening of campus security in the Bay Area. It’s pretty loose right now.
Female shooter? “militant vegan”? shooting spree in California? This one seems to break all sorts of stereotypes.

I’m seeing articles saying that the man whom she shot was a former boyfriend. She was Persian and occasionally posted while wearing a hijab, but she apparently was Bahai, and no one is suggesting a religious motive.
Heh. Yep. It’ll get buried quick though. It won’t work as a good narrative or example.
I am inclined to agree except for the Frida Kahlo eyebrow potential.
What the hell did this guy do to piss her off? I haven’t heard all the details.
There’ve been shooters in California before; the state is not immune to them. Examples: Isla Vista and San Bernardino. The second one had two shooters, one a female.
It’ll get buried by the next shooter who is likelier to be deadlier. At the rate we’re going these days, that’ll be in less than two weeks.
Not to mention 101 California.
