Actors/Musicians/Luminaries ya just plain can't look at

To each their own I guess. I loved him on Cheers. There’s just something about his looks that bug me now. Not even sure I can explain what it is.

I have trouble with Anderson Cooper. He’s just so… white.

< channels Procol Harum >

I’ve seen him turn cartwheels 'cross the floor.

mmm

Steve Bannon. He needs to be scrubbed with steel wool. You know he smells like stale beer, BO, and cigarettes.

Hoda Kotb. I can’t put my finger on it, but her face just doesn’t look right.

Yes, Hoda, I forgot about her. I have spent more time than I care to admit trying to figure out why here face is so irritating to be me. Her nose? Her fake smile? I will say her hair is always colored beautifully and she seems like a nice person. But I can’t watch her.

In addition to looking like an outright wino (which he might legit be) Bannon also frequently wears two or more collared shirts over each other, something I noticed when he was all over the news two or three years ago. This is something that would look weird on anyone, but most especially on someone as generally haggard and disheveled as he is.

It keeps the tentacles from popping out.

Oh yes! I was looking at pics of Jackie and saw one from the BNB. Couldn’t believe it.

Really! I think he’s beautiful. I can’t stop looking at him.

I see the same thing with Giada De Laurentiis.

He looks like he could eat an apple through a tennis racket.

I realise this was a controversial choice, which is why I didn’t elaborate, but it’s particularly difficult to deal with a person you find unappealing who is also widely visible because they are so popular. I just quickly scroll past pictures, and avoid his films.

JEH is in The Boys, and he doesn’t look terrible, he just looks like some non-descript bearded middle aged couch potato.

Tracy Morgan and Marky Mark. I just don’t like these people.

Hence the Coach Bert sketch on SNL.

I read an interview once with Steve Buscemi where he said he really didn’t feel that his looks were off-kilter; it was a surprise to him when he became aware that he was viewed that way. He seemed pretty relaxed about it though (and why not - he’s a good actor but his looks have definitely been a huge asset in the roles he’s been cast in).

It was cruel of the people he grew up with to let him think he was normal looking :grinning:

Yes, he looks like a regular guy in real life, but seems not to mind looking weird onscreen.

He has some of that Richard Kiel acromegaly + dark rings around the eyes -look to him.
