What famously "good looking' people do you not like the looks of?

You know, people who are presented to us by the media as beautiful/handsome/lovely/etc., and lots of people seem to agree, but it leaves you mystified because in your eyes they’re plain or even homely?

My example: Sarah Jessica Parker. Here’s a glamor shot of her http://www.eforu.com/gallery/sarahjessicaparker/pic6.html, and it’s honestly the best she’s ever looked to me, and I still don’t think she even looks pretty.
So…whose looks don’t you get?

Scarlett Johansson does NOTHING for me in her wannabe golden age of Hollywood garb and makeup. I thought she was mildly cute in Ghost World, but I’d probably walk right past her if I saw her in public.

The girl who played Mary Jane in Spider-Man . . . eww.

Halle Berry . . . not ugly but nothing special at all.

Jessica Alba as a blonde . . . does absolutely nothing for me. She’s pretty with dark hair, though.

I’ve met Scarlett Johanssen, I knew her brother. She’s pretty good looking in real life. A lot more girl next door than her persona. Though I did meet her shortly after ‘The Horse Whisperer’.

Brad Pitt-he has chipmunk cheeks, a scraggly-ass beard and an air of entitlement. Ugh.

George Clooney–he’s ok looking, but I see no reason to swoon. He’s a better actor than he is good looking.

Leonardo DiCaprio–there is something wrong with his face.

Lindsey Lohan was a beautiful child–what happened?

Steve Buscemi. Jeez, dude, get over yourself.

Megan Fox.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand her appeal. She looks completely vacant.

I think in his case the personality he projects is a big part of the appeal. At least, I remember reading an interview with him where he was so charming I suddenly understood why some women are so nuts about him even though he was never on my radar before.

Is Spencer Pratt supposed to be good-looking? I don’t pay enough attention to such things to know for sure, but I assume that since I keep seeing photos of him we’re supposed to consider him attractive. To me, he is hideous. His eyes are too close together and his brow is neaderthalian. (And I don’t get the impression he has a fabulous personality to make up for it either)

Russell Crowe and Ewan MacGregor. They both look toad-like and lumpy to me. I think they’re both great actors and everything, but I don’t find them handsome.

His face is like a Kewpie doll’s. All his features are sort of stuffed into the middle of it.

Cocaine is a helluva drug.

I’ve always been baffled by the praise for Gwyneth Paltrow. She’s just so… bland. Which is weird, because she looks so much like her mother, and I think her mother is gorgeous. It just goes to show that what’s behind the face really does matter.

I always thought the same about Gwyneth Paltrow but she really did it for me in Iron Man.

Evangeline Lilly always looks constipated.

Renee Zellweger looks like she’s starving to death and in agony from it. She was hot in Empire Records.

Angelina Jolie appears to have a prolapsed anus stapled to her face.

I too first thought of Megan Fox. Although she has a hot body and a pretty face, there is something about her that makes me shrink away. I don’t know her at all, but she just looks like a mean, psycho bitch.

If asked why, I could not pin down what makes me think that.

I think Megan Fox looks like more like an alien from outer space than her Transformer co-stars; a waxy, plastic amalgamation of everything guys are supposed to find hot in a woman, like what aliens might create if they were attempting to create the perfect human female specimen from scratch … and she honestly does nothing for me. Her face looks the same whether she’s happy, sad, excited, surprised, or scared. Even if I were to be turned on by her figure, the daggers that are her eyes would conspire to kill any interest before it even had a chance to live. Not that I’m under any delusion of having a chance with her or any celebrity, but rhetorically speaking, I could not be physically excited enough to do the deed while looking into that vain, ice cold, vapid stare.

Johnny Depp. He’s so pale and pasty, and he has this wan, cadaverous look to his face. He also seems so mopey - does he EVER smile?

I feel similarly about Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba, which is probably a big reason they’re on my list. I think it’s from things I’ve read them say in interviews, but I cannot remember what.

If I had to guess, I think Scarlett has made comments about being too good for Hollywood, ready to retire already because she’s already accomplished everything, etc., and Alba said something to the effect of any woman who does nudity in a movie is a whore.

I do not have cites for those quotes and they might be far from what was actually said, that is just what my foggy memory is vaguely telling me. I do not follow celebrities much.

Funny, she was actually next on my list of “I don’t get it.” I don’t necessarily get psycho bitch from her, mostly I just get dumb and trashy. And not the fun kind of dumb and trashy.

On the guy side, and going way back, I never got the love for Rob Lowe. He’s so pretty. I don’t much like pretty guys.

Jennifer Aniston is not pretty even a little. Too skinny to be sexy too.

I came here to post Sarah Jessica Parker. And ya’ll got me laughing. So I’ll add that Jodie Foster appeared so good looking to one guy that he went nuts, and I think she’s a good actress, but very plain.

On the other hand, Jessica Alba starts off so high, that even with miscolored hair and stupidity thrown into the mix, she’s still attractive, even hot.

Which means you met her when she was 14 years old. Of course she looked like a girl next door, she was one!

But put me down as agreeing with Sarah Jessica Parker (who does think she’s good looking, weirdos?) and Megan Fox (creepy and very offputting in interviews). Oh, and I don’t understand the absolute love Sawyer from Lost gets. OK, he’s attractive, but the intensity I’ve seen some women display when describing his looks makes no sense to me.

I found a quote where Jessica Alba discusses why she won’t do nudity. I don’t think it’s exactly what you remember. If it’s the same quote that is, I remember one where she said she wouldn’t go nude because it would give her grandma a heart attack, but I can’t find that one. Anyway…

“I don’t do nudity. I just don’t. Maybe that makes me a bad actress. Maybe I won’t get hired in some things. But I have too much anxiety.”

No, this one I remember a little more vividly than whatever Johansson said, because it pissed me off and my wife and I had a long discussion about it. I doubt she used the word whore, but she definitely said something very deragatory about women who do nudity on film. It was something very close to, “I’ll leave that to the sluts,” but I don’t remember the actual word she used (I don’t think it was slut or whore.) I remember saying “I guess Jessica Tandy, Kathy Bates, Nicole Kidman, and god knows how many other award-winning actors are all sluts then .”
