aka…the BaldDude has questionable taste and judgment in evaluating “celebrity attractivity”
I co opted this from another thread…which celebrities whom are usually considered super attractive to most people, just don’t rate all that high on your scale?
I’d say…Julia Roberts, Johnny Depp, Mick Jagger! David Bowie and Madonna…anyone else care to add to the list?
Scarlett Johansson is a 7-8 when she is dolled up. When she isn’t she is a 6-7.
Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox also. Fox looks like drugs have aged her 20 years. Apparently the girl from the twilight movies is considered hot too. I don’t get it.
I once read about online dating sites that women who are ‘weird pretty’ got hit on more than women who were conventionally pretty. Weird pretty women were considered plain or ugly by a lot of people, but some people considered them really hot. Conventionally pretty women were hot, but not as hot as the ‘weird pretty’ girls to the people into that.
I wonder if women like Johansson, Jolie & Fox are ‘weird pretty’ and I just don’t see it.
This thread will contain the name of every A-list actor before we hit post #50. Meanwhile, someone should resurrect the thread about how hot the Wendy’s and Progressive girls are, and Cafe Society will give of the SDMB nerd vibe like an interstellar beacon.
I don’t understand why Bradley Cooper gets so much love. To me, he looks greasy, scruffy and weasel-faced, like a used car salesman.
Also, Channing Tatum. I guess people like him for his body, but how can the ignore the fact that his head is a giant thumb with Mr Potato Head ears glued on?
You think you can keep us from posting by attempting to encapsulate the thread in this fashion? Never!
My hot-but-not pick is pretty much any A-lister before their makeup people, their hair people and for all I know their skin-buffing people get hold of them.
But I don’t understand what Wesley Clark is saying about Scarlett Johannson, who I would call either the hottest woman in Hollywood, or possibly a close second after Helena Bonham Carter. She seems conventionally attractive to me, not weird… but she’s a really, really fine specimen of “conventionally attractive”.
Carmen Diaz was stunning in The Mask, but everything since then she is at best “meh”. This is due largely to her losing way too much weight in pursuit of the Hollywood anorexic ideal.
Not sure if I’d call her the hottest or close to it, but Scarlett is certainly a fine specimen of a woman to me in every way. Seen her on David Letterman, and also really liked how she carried herself.
