I also wasnt convinced by Agent Smith playing Elrond in LOTR
Mel Gibson in Braveheart
Edward Furlong in Terminator 2
Colin Farrel - The Recruit (A decent actor, good movie, however who could believe him as a computer nerd?)
Chris Tucker in The Fifth Element.
Matthew McConaughey drove me nuts in Contact, though it wasn’t really his fault.
And a really obscure one for the film geeks out there: Denise Crosby in Miracle Mile.
I’ll agree with Keeanu in anything but Bill & Ted, except Parenthood. He basically played Ted again. It’s when he starts trying to show he has a brain that he falls flat on his face.
And I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like Julia Roberts, most people I know will see anything she’s in.
Patrick Swayze in Red Dawn.
Demi Moore wrecks every movie she’s in. I’m convinced that the only reason she has (had) any kind of acting career is because she can make tear drops fall out of her stupid wide-open eyes.
When Keannu Reeves showed up in Dangerous Liasons as a teacher (of music), I couldn’t help laughing out loud. I couldn’t say I hated him in the movie, as his role was too small to have much impact, but man, he cracked me up in every scene he was in. I just kept picturing him saying “I AM the cheVALier denanCEY… Woah!” It didn’t really help that he channeled Ted every time he said his lines
In fact I am giggling as I write this… Perhaps I should embrace Keannu for his ability to make me laugh by his mere existence.
I LOVE YOU KEANNU!!!
I know its a thread about movies you like and actors you hate…but I can’t think of a single movie I’ve liked that Jim Carrey’s been in.
I freakin’ hate Jim Carrey, and I wanted to share that with the SDMB.
Anything that Juliette Lewis is in, and she has been in some pretty good flicks.
At least I’m not alone, ouisey.
what is braveheart without the mad max?
mark whatshisname in star wars.
