Actors you run into in the oddest places

Actress Sonia Manzano who played Maria on Sesame Street had a role on Law & Order: SVU as a judge. It is just weird seeing the actors from Sesame Street play roles in other movies and shows.

For me it was the time I saw Street Smart in the theatre (or maybe on VHS). “Hey! It’s Easy Reader!”

And that’s not to mention A few years earlier seeing Superman in Deathtrap.

I know that I hadn’t really noticed Liam Neeson before Darkman (I suspect more people first started to notice him a couple of years later when he played Oskar Schindler in Schindler’s List ). But then I started to notice him in other films I’d seen earlier – The Mission , The Bounty , Krull .

He was also Sir Gawain in Excalibur–his first film role, I believe. Didn’t recognize him at the time, but if you see the film now, you’re all, “Hey, that’s Liam Neeson!” Gabriel Byrne is there, too, as Uther Pendragon.
