Don’t ask me to explain, just bow your head with awe and wonder at Acts of Gord.
I must know…how did you find this site?
It was posted here. How he found it, I’ve no idea, and am afraid to ask.
I believe this was on memepool some months back. They compared him to Comic Book Guy, of Simpsons fame, if I recall. Good stuff, heh.
Og smash!
Someone posted a link to the Acts of Gord here on the SDMB a month or so ago; specifically, they linked to the page where the mother leaves her kids at the video game store in lieu of getting a sitter.
The first time I discovered that site, I spent most of an afternoon with tears rolling down my face. I think I read every story that first day. I only wish there had been more updates since.
Yeah, I followed that same link all those months ago. I spent the next week reading every word. Any word on if he’s still updating thte site (Gord)?
Wearia
It says on his main page (scroll down a bit) that he’s teaching English in Korea. So no updates for awhile, presumably.
GORD IS MY HERO!
I don’t remember how I found it originally, but it may have been a link from someone here at the SDMB.
The Book of Victory is a particularly great read!
Oh, forgot to mention…
I’ve been on the mailing list ever since I first found the site about half a year ago, but I haven’t received any mail yet.
Apparently Gord isn’t real big on updates.
Acts of Gord was once a feature site of cruel.com
I got introduced to Gord through the SDMB, and I, too, wish for more of his mighty wisdom.
I guess teaching English to kids in Korea is a vacation compared to dealing with boneheaded customers and rejects from Krunk’s School of Small-Time Thievery.
That Gord guy is genious. I would guess that a link gets posted to it on SDMB on a quarterly basis. I read the whole thing in one setting too. Too bad there have been no updates.
