All the jingles I know are from 1952-1962. Most people wouldn’t remember them.

Back in the days when TV variety shows did live commercials, I remember seeing the debut of this commercial on the old Garry Moore show. They brought the guy who wrote the jingle out and he conducted a group of singers and the audience in a sing-along. The group did the song and the audience clapped at the right spot:
Winston tastes good like a (clap,clap) cigarette should.
Turns out he was a mute and couldn’t sing the jingle himself.
Everybody, sing along with me! I bet there’s not a poster in the thread that doesn’t recognize this bit of marketing genius:
