Adieu, my dear kitty

Nothing helps, I know, but hugs anyway. ((JoseB))

So sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet kitty. My four fuzzers will get extra treats and skritches in her memory tonight.

You obviously loved your Clawdia a lot. And she obviously enjoyed and relied on that love. I’m so sorry for your loss.

I’m very sorry to hear this. You have my sympathy, especially since I’m going through the same thing right now and know just how you feel.

Last Thursday, my cat Austen collapsed on the living room floor. I took her straight to vets, where they did what they could for her–but she died the next morning. I knew that the end couldn’t be very far off, since she was old and had been ill for some years, but that hasn’t made it easier now that it’s actually happened.

It keeps coming back to me at intervals, when I see her crochety toy on the sofa, when I don’t hear the imperious click of her toenails on the floor (as her hind legs grew weaker this past year, she stopped retracting her claws and it was like having a dog in house). Little things like that. And I tear up again.

That was so dear and so sad. My sympathies are with you.

Now you’ll have little ghost cat pettings around your legs when you least expect it.

Sincerest condolences to you for your loss. My little girl Max died in December due to kidney failure at age 16 1/2 and I still miss her every day, so I appreciate what you’re going through.

RIP Clawdia. :frowning:

I knew what was going to happen when I opened this thread - sure enough, tears rolling down my face. I’m so sorry for your loss, JoseB. My cat is almost 14 years old, and I’m dreading the day that is coming when she either dies at home or I have to make the hardest decision of my life and have her put down. She’s sitting beside me in a catloaf as I type this - she doesn’t go far away from me these days.

Awwww…catloaf…too cute.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Your eulogy was beautiful. I’m crying now too.

My sympathy to you. I loved reading about her.

So sad, so beautiful and wonderful comforting responses.

RIP Clawdia :frowning:

That was a lovely eulogy, she must have meant a lot to you and will be a hard act to follow.

So sorry for your loss; Clawdia was obviously a very special kitty. One of mine is 12, and I treasure him more and more every day. And his little sister too.

I thought this was a excellent way of putting it.

Adieu, sweet kitty. Condolences, sweet kitty dad.
