ADSAV! (Brittany) ANy Know Much AboutThem?

Well, this is a long shot, buut the SDMB does have people in many countires. SO, is anyone familiar with the ADSAV politicl party in Brittany?

Reason for my wanting to know = on another message board, I suddenly find someone coming along to a “Scottish Politics” forum (which I help moderate) and expressing some (to me, anyway) rather questionable attitudes.

S, I’ve had a quick look at their webiste, and shall do so again later ,but

  • my computer is in a phase of crashing /freezing FAR too frequently (it behaves like a sulky teenager - come to think of it, it probably IS :frowning: )

  • because I trust the intelligence of Dopers in general, I am asking here because if there should happen to be members wih prior knowledge of this group, well, that way, I’d get a sort of precis version of the thing. Oops, that sounds terribly lazy, but, honestly, see my remark re. bad PC immediately above.

N.B. I know that I have already hinted that I suspect I am going to dislike the views of that group, but my question is genuinely to find out more about it - from no matter what viewpoint.

I’m a bit leery of someone coming along to mutter about countries needing to based based on a blood-linked communitiy, and avoiding “cosmoplitan elements”, but, well, it’s a very long time since I read anythign in French, and I have NO knowledge of Breton, (apart from ONE day I hve to afford to visit, and to see Carnac, and go to L’Orient etc, when £££ allows) so I could be getting entirely the wrong idea, and getting the nuance wrong.

ANy help gratefully appreciated.

OMG - apologies for that unholy mess of typing. Bad eyesight, bad eyeglasses, and when I get bad-temepered with the computer, my typing seems to get worse. OK, that’s a reason, but not an exucse, I suppose. :frowning:

A small Breton nationalist/separatist party, it appears.

The Organization for the European Minorities lists them on their list of Autonomist and pro-independence political parties:

There is also an icon identifying them as Nationalist or far-right party.

The Antisemitism Worldwide 2000/1 web site of the Stephen Roth Institute at Tel Aviv University mentions them as being a part of the localized nationalist “volk” type movements:

Members of this group are suspected of attacks on Muslim civic officials:

Many thanks, paperbackwriter. They sound a pretty unpleasant bunch. I figured I didn’t like what I could make of their outlook, but I hadn’t realised that they actually carry out attacks on people.

Well, well, I wonder what that person thought to achieve by wandering into the other (Scottish) board that I mentioned. He’s going to find that his views are very unpopulr!

Thanks again!
