What we see for any post by any poster is their current status, not the status they had when the post was made.
The OP was a Guest when I made my earlier post. I see he/she/it now shows BANNED.
What I mean is that if a random person just registers and posts as a guest you won’t see the location or post count in the thread, that’s only for paying members. I see if for the OP, so I’m wondering if the OP payed for a membership when they registered.
For example, look at EvilTOJ’s post. No location or post count shown in his post since he’s not a paying member. I assume if a mod were to ban him, that info wouldn’t suddenly show up in the thread.

I *suspect *the way the board works is location & post count are shown by all categories of user by default. It certainly used to be that way. Some time ago when they liberalized the rights of guests they had to take away something. So they added an if statement which in effect says
if status = guest, hide location & post count.
The effect of which is to show post counts for all banned persons whether they used to be guests or members or anything else.
Yes, join date and post count is visible for banned users, even those who didn’t pay.
