At the moment on my PC I’m using a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000. I really like it, gives excellent image. Just for googles I giggled “Best Webcams” and came upon a page that had a list of the best rated webcams and the winner appeared to be a Logitech C920.
My question is whether the difference between these two webcams is really worth the money spent. Can anyone contribute some impressions. I usually Skype with friends.
The Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 came out in 2007. Cnet.com reports the C920 isn’t available, however, Amazon still sells them. FWIW, upgrading to a newer version might help with screen resolution with your Skype friends. However, since you cannot control any of the other factors you have to decide whether the dollar cost of upgrading is worth it.
Disclaimer, I have the C920. I chose it for the Carl Zeiss optics and Full HD 1080p video. And it sits nicely on a standard camera tripod. Works for me.
