My cousin brought me a copy of some of the pictures he took on our trip to Africa in February and I thought I’d share them here if anyone wants to see them. He got some really great shots.
Wow, he must have had a great camera. I went on a safari last year and couldn’t get closeups anything like that with my phone.
These are the photos I took with my phone. Some turned out pretty good but he got many more great shots with his camera.
We actually were very lucky and most of the animals we saw were close enough to touch the vehicle, including lions, cheetahs and elephants.
We always want to see cat photos

You want cats? Here you go! The first two are a pride of 15 lions eating a Cape Buffalo and the other is a momma cheetah watching her 3 cubs eating a Thompson’s Gazelle.
I have a work friend who did a photo safari last year. He rented this lens to shoot on the trip. Here’s what it looks like in use. You really need great equipment to get great images of the wildlife (because walking up to a lion is not going to go well). You may get lucky with lesser equipment, but there’s little substitute for the good stuff.
