We’ve been wanting a dog for so long. My husband adores dogs. I wanted a dog.
Finally, we got a dog. It’s a huge responsibility, I know, and it’s going to mean lifestyle changes and compromises. It will be work, that is for sure, but I think it will add to our lives immeasurably. One of the reasons we live where we do is so that we could eventually get a dog.
My cats cough up hairballs bigger than that. Is she a Papillion? Sorry about the spelling - it’s the French word that means butterfly. Her ears look like butterflies.)
Truer words were never writ than: “Happiness is a warm puppy.” Puppy breath! Falling asleep in weird places/positions! Hairless puppy tummies! Stumbling over their feet! Meeting the vaccum cleaner for the first time! Learning to navigate stairs! Getting stuck in things and having to yell for help! You’re in store for a lot of “awww!” moments.
I was on a constant seratonin high when my dog was a pup. Recently, I got a third dog, a Jack Russel Terrier, which looks like a puppy even though he’s full grown. Kept me from withdrawal, it did.
Ahhhh, she’s adorable, and you have puppy breath at your house, big congratulations! Paps are wonderful dogs, ya gotta love those beautiful butterfly ears! I wish for the three of you the best of times together!
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
She is BEYOND adorable! I have 2 Papillons… you won’t be sorry you chose thois breed, they are WONDERFUL little dogs!
I have never seen a Papster with so much black… they are normally white with colored markings!
Clover: OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOY A LEAF! OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOY A ROCK! OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOY ANOTHER LEAF! OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOY A ROCK! OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOY A TWIG! OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOY A LEAF!
Mum: (Aloud) That is not good to eat. That is not good to eat. That is not good to eat. (Mentally) AWWWWWWW.
She’s got a lot of black in her coat, which is good–I wear a lot of black.
Things we experienced outside today: leaves, rocks, twigs, moss, a loud squirrel (and yes, they make awful screechy noises) and a slug, which I accidentally stepped on in my gardening shoes, luckily.
On a scale of 1-10, stepping on a slug is a zero. Puppy investigating the outside: 10.
I’m a big proponent of group obedience classes for dogs, and agility too. Most dogs have a real blast doing agility, classes are everywhere and it’s way fun.
