Age-minimizing products.

Say that you started using age-minimizing products (lotions, cremes, make-up, etc. etc. etc.) at an early age long before your skin started showing any evidence of aging.
Would this allow you to have younger looking skin longer or would it be futile because there is nothing to repair yet?

Aren’t you making the unwarranted assumption that so-called “age-minimizing” products work at all for anyone at any age?

There are the alpha-hydroxy and and beta-hydroxy types of products. I have used them and they seem to work at least in the short-term. Some of them even have an abrasive step that definitely does something because it hurts if you do it too hard and your skin is perfectly clean and smooth afterwards. I have heard some dermatologists say that a few months with these types of kits is as least as good as the professionally administered peels.

Yes, I am. And assuming they do work, I’m still curious as to what the answer is.

Well, one thing about a lot of age-minimizing moisturizers- they tend to have sunscreen in them, which WILL help prevent premature aging. Sun damage is the most common cause of premature aging. So using them from an early age (like your 20s) would certainly help minimize wrinkles and sunspots and such.
