Depends. Can you watch it from the website, or do you have to use the app, like they said in the promo? Because I’m not downloading an app, just to watch it.
Yeah. I haven’t been watching Westworld, but still, it would’ve been nice to see a rogue scientist create an AI and it’s just fine for once, just to subvert all the obvious expectations. With a speedster and an evil AI, this just feels too much like a direct-to-video ripoff of like half the recent blockbusters.
But even despite this, I really liked the episode. Lots of good coming-together-as-a-team moments. I also liked how dejected Mace seemed when he said, “we’re not a team that trusts”. It’s like he genuinely believes in that phrase, and I like that they have him play it straight.
My favorite line was Coulson’s “You’re drunk on power! Or you drinking your own Kool-Aid! Or drunk on Powerade!”.
I think he’s kind of a boy scout at heart, trying to succeed in a messy world. But I like the character and I think the rest of the SHIELD team is growing to respect him. I suspect both sides will learn to compromise, like Mace did with Daisy. She’s already inclined to like him and Coulson clearly respects him.
“We’re going to make you the face of the Inhumans”
“Yeah, right…maybe in a comic book”
Lulz on the meta.
Have they changed YoYo’s power? I don’t remember her being a straight speedster - I thought she kind of launched herself at (super) speed, but always sprang back to where she started (hence YoYo). But here she is just another Flash/Quicksilver clone?
She did go back to where she started both times she used her power here. She can only go for a single hearbeat or something like that, so maybe she’s been doing tons of cardio to get her heart rate as low as possible.
Well, the Darkhold was written by Thor’s uncle (granted, on his mom’s side, elder god/demon, not asgardian)
I think she has to hold her breath the whole time.
It’s a super powered version of the Indian sport of Kabaddi.
