I wonder if Fury is going to run into Jules while he’s out Walking the Earth.
Jules mentions The Case and Fury goes into Oh Shit mode, spurring his return to S.H.I.E.L.D.
Actually, in comic-book land, a copied serum almost never behaves as the original did. Keeps hero/villain powers unique. The best Marvel example of this is the super-soldier serum that Captain America got; none of the copies ever worked the same. The Marvel movieverse seems to be following the same plan – with the Red Skull and Abomination (even before he hulked up) being quite different than Cap.
I didn’t realize that. I’m used to writers deciding a scientist can whip up a breakthrough drug that does whatever they want in an hour or two. So then my point that Garrett took a synthetic version is probably relevant.
I was watching the last couple episodes with my only-half-paying-attention girlfriend and our exchange was
Her: Oh that’s really him! Did you know he was going to be in this episode?
Me: No, not really
Her: Aren’t you surprised?
Me: Well no…I mean…I heard “special guest star” and I figured…plus his name was in the opening credits so that kinda ruined it.
Does any Marvel Maven want to explain the bizarre diagram that Garrett started to draw and then Coulson drew in more detail? I’d guess it’s tied to the GH-325 serum and the alien; Mrs. B. swears she saw the diagram in one of the movies as well.
Could she be thinking of the first time we saw it in the T.V. series? It was shown at the end of the episode “Eye Spy”. Ward breaks into that Russian facility to complete Akela Amadour’s mission. He’s directed to a secret room with lots of mathy/sciencey guys working on something. When he directs his gaze to a giant blackboard with a crazy complex formula written out on it, a snap shot of the formula is taken by Amadour’s handler.
Okay, this made me laugh: A Founding Member – HijiNKS ENSUE
Er? Has someone come out and said what the Guest’s species was? When Sif showed up, she listed off a lot of blue species, but there was no indication which the Guest was.
(Watched the last half of the season over the last 3 days.)
I’ve actually got a bit of a crack theory…Garrett kept mentioning the universe, such as after Raina injected him, which lead to the thought…how do we know the Guest was BORN blue? And not, for instance, a host of the Uni-Power…
Probably not, but it’d be interesting…
Chloe Bennett (Skye) confirms it (at 1:33)
Not sure why the producers let her leak that. It sounds like she expects everyone to already know… maybe they planned to reveal that before the end of the season, but changed their minds?
Who is this “Guest” we’re speaking of? The blue guy in the tube? Why are we calling him “Guest?”
I haven’t heard it specifically referred to as the “Guest” but the facility where it was kept was codenamed The Guesthouse, so I can see where “Guest” comes from.
Because the facility is called The Guest House.
As for the Kree, I think that was an accidental reveal by Chloe - I don’t think the producers told her it was Kree, she just assumed based on reading the comics that it would be.
Ah okay, thanks.
