Basically, (in the comics) Kree are blue. If they have babies from knocking boots with other races, they’re pink (i.e., depicted as Caucasian in the comics). They’re stronger than humans.
So, in *Guardians of the Galaxy *was Korath supposed to be a pink Kree? Or not Kree at all? The character’s Wiki page says he’s Kree but in the movie he didn’t look like the other Kree, he looked human (mostly).
That would fit right in with the way Maximus was portrayed in Hulk and the Agents of SMASH. What with the 'killing everybody on the planet" and all.
Really liked that episode. Only two flaws that bugged me: Bobbi’s ridiculous post-battle posing, and cutting away from the Fitz/Simmons reunion without letting us see the rest of it.
Really not sure what’s up with Skye’s dad. I can tell they are slow-rolling him, but I can’t make heads or tails of it yet. He’s a surgeon with a temper, and wants the obelisk for some reason… but is willing to give it to Whitehall because he… hates Coulson why exactly? I don’t get it.
Coulson is a father figure to Skye.
He gets to be the father that Skye’s dad could never be but always wanted to be.
As I read it:
Dad hates Coulson because Phil has become a father-figure to Skye. Dad is wacko anyway, and seeing his daughter open up to Coulson just gave him a target for his anger. That and he figures Coulson is the one who is preventing the father-daughter reunion he so desperately wants. As for giving Whitehall the Obelisk, it’s more of a loan, and a temporary convergence of desires. I’m quite sure there will be quite the falling out in the near to intermediate future. Maybe even leading to a forced SHIELD/HYDRA alliance to stop Dad from destroying the world. In the words of the show runner’s brother (or a character thereof):
*“We like to talk big… vampires do. “I’m going to destroy the world.” That’s just tough-guy talk. Strutting around with your friends over a pint of blood. The truth is, I like this world. You’ve got…dog racing, Manchester United. And you’ve got people. Billions of people walking around like Happy Meals with legs. It’s all right here. But then someone comes along with a vision. With a real… passion for destruction. Angel could pull it off. Good-bye, Picadilly. Farewell, Leicester-bloody-Square.” *
Its High School.
She is someone thats been on the run for being a hacker, coming from a long line of broken foster homes and never been to shield school. So she is not going to have that automatic acceptance of authority.

Unless they’ve retconned things in the last few years (entirely possible), pink Kree (who look identical to white humans) aren’t half breeds, just a minority race. At least that’s how it was in the mainstream MU, I dunno about ultimate Kree.
It was somewhat ridiculous, but it did make me think that she might have been ok as Wonder Woman (had the script not stunk).
Okay, so Skye’s baby village was wiped out “by monsters.” Skye’s dad knows he’s a monster but really, really wanted Skye (that’s not her name) to get to know and understand him first. Coulson’s team blew that when the they found the dead bodies.
All the references to monsters makes me think Inhuman. But, Skye is supposed to be part alien. Kree we assume.
But Inhumans aren’t part Kree are they? They were made by the Kree from human stock I guess, right?
So is Skye’s dad an insane rogue Kree or insane rogue Inhuman?
They’re just assuming Skye may be alien…that’s not a declaration that it’s a fact yet.
And we don’t know how they’re going to portray Kree or Inhumans (if either of them are used) so the Marvel comic universe can’t be relied on. They may follow established canon or they may not.
No, it’s not a retcon, just hardly ever mentioned. The blue Kree are the pure stock. See here under “Pink-skinned” that explain how the (blue) Kree interbred with other species to produce the seemingly-Caucasian Kree. The Pink-skinned Kree now outnumber the blue Kree, they’re not a minority (blues are the minority, although dominant socially).
Well, we know how they portrayed Tahiti Smurf, and we know how they portrayed Ronan.
I’m still unclear as to whether or not the movie version of Korath was meanrt to be Kree.
According to the concept art for GotG, he was.
Seriously? So there are white Kree, black Kree and BLUE fucking Kree?
Where are the Asian Kree?
Would someone please explain to me why the photo of Simmons was so incriminating? I freeze-framed it, and all I saw was her holding a sheet of paper (really the flex-screen) with the same logo as the soda cup on the bench next to her. (I thought it would turn out to be the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo, but it wasn’t.) So what was the big deal? (i.e., What did I miss?)
Raina saw her communicating with that rather innocuous looking flex screen - communicating to SHIELD. The flex screen that they took from the desk was examined by HYDRA and they knew it was a spying device. The photo links Simmons to the spying device.
Somewhere east of here?
I suspect a reference to Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. A clincher would have been a lingering shot of a gun in a holster.
