Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D S02E05: A Hen in the Wolf House (open spoilers)

I like that idea, but I’m not so sure. Aren’t the Inhumans getting their own movie supposedly in phase 3. It seems odd to introduce a possibly major character so early on and on the tv show.

With Skye’s dad, the green lighting and the anger issues seemed to be a weird reference to the Hulk, but I don’t think he’s a Hulk related character.

I still like my original theory that Skye was half Dire Wraith.

I’m curious as to what they are going to do with Bobbi, since she and May are so similar in function.

Ward, May, Triplett and Bobbi are all similar in function aren’t they? They’re all good at everything generalists. Hunter too I guess, except for electronics apparently.

I am disappointed that Triplett is still being sidelined in the scripts. I liked his character right away and was looking forward to him being featured in Season 2.

At first it seemed like the showrunners had decided to phase him out and replace him with Hunter, but as things progress it seems Hunter fills a very different function in terms of character dynamics- especially now that Bobbi Morse has been introduced.

It’s my hope that with Simmons back Triplett will be featured more- since it seems they’re meant to have chemistry.

Speaking of chemistry …no talk about Fitz’s homoerotic appreciation of Mack’s physique?
New love interest for Fitz? I remember last season some folks here speculating about the character’s sexuality.

I particularly enjoyed this episode. I’m never quite sure how good AoS really is, but episodes like this certainly make it enjoyable enough.

This. I liked Coop’s dismissal of Whitehall when Raina mentioned him, as if some big cheese in HYDRA, who has incidentally lived at least 70 years without a change in appearance, is hardly impressive to him.

Seems like it linked her to fast food, not spying.

I don’t quite buy that. Fitz was annoyed that Simmons found last season’s black guy attractive, so his imaginary Simmons finds this season’s black guy attractive, because that how he sees Simmons, as some kind of jungle-fevered cock-tease.

Even before his injury, Fitz was not necessarily well-adjusted. If you could stick him in a holographic subconscious-driven fantasy like Red Dwarf’s Better-Than-Life, it’d turn into a masochistic nightmare sooner or later.

HYDRA is very strict when it comes to employee health. Those insurance plans ain’t free!

If people were allowed to leave HYDRA, they could go on COBRA.

We’re modern.

Seriously, though, I don’t think there’s much to talk about. We can speculate wildly, and that’s to be expected for a show like this, but I don’t see any reason to think it means anything except that Fitz has some insecurity and jealousy, which we knew already anyway. I mean, if you’re going to have hallucinations featuring a woman you’re pining after who is not interested in you, having “her” notice other men seems likely.

Especially when you consider the number of stem cells required for all those double reincapitations.

Isn’t Triplett’s actor involved in another show? I thought someone had told me he’d asked to be less involved with the plotlines for now…

:stuck_out_tongue:

B. J. Britt (Triplett) is on BET’s Being Mary Jane and has been since 2013. He also has a couple of upcoming movies, and is rumored to be in the next Avengers flick.

I dunno. I know who she is and it still would work on me. Some guys are born suckers.

Um, not the kind of suckers Fitz is looking for.

Ha! I love that. Regardless of whether or not you knew this.

Yeah, but it’s more than that. A photo of Simmons holding a fast food menu (or something) is e-mailed to everyone in Hydra, and instantly they’re all staring at her like “Dead woman walking.”

Fitz naturally notices the other guys and feels insecure about his prospects with Simmins. Perfectly natural. Nothing to see here. Move along, move along.

I don’t get the disconnect. Everyone in that room knows about the flexi screen and that it’s a spying device…and that’s what Simmons appears to be holding in the picture.

Also, they are probably assured it means something because WHY ELSE would everyone be emailed that picture.

I’m guessing it’s not an organization where anyone wants to be noticed, until and unless you’re at the stage where you can kill people with impunity. Simmons getting noticed… well, I figure everyone else figures it’s not for a good reason.

But that’s not what she appears to be holding. She appears to be holding a menu.

That’s the only explanation I could really come up with.

It’s not established who of May and Bobbi is tougher, though I expect we’ll see some fan-servish sparring sooner or later.

Or they brought in the new actress because the older actress isn’t into all the stunts and you can only pretend you’re a badass for so long. Nick Fury isn’t exactly all that convincing an alpha combat type either.

If Reina can send the picture to every email address in HYDRA, that means she has all the email addresses for HYDRA.

Take the phone, dummy!

Indeed. HYDRA has no defense against e-mail spam! Even God Himself receives invites to make his d1ck b1gger!
