[li]“Sending the Calvary! Sweeeeet!” “Sam? What are you 13? You can’t even do a sit up and you expect to meet up with the Calvary.”[/li][/QUOTE]
Nitpick: it’s Cavalry. Agent May is not the hill where Jesus was crucified (as far as we know!).
When Mack and Bobbie were talking in the cockpit I was thinking “Two can keep a secret as long as one of them is dead”. I figured he was doomed at that point.
Does the CEO of Southwest Airlines handle his pilots’ radio traffic for them? Does a military commander patch himself through to enemy aircraft? Just seems odd.
Just a note on the end of this thread to say that the Gawker website io9 has a spoiler-free note that tomorrow’s mid-season finale episode is going to be really good:
Going back and rewatching the episode I’m pretty sure the voice on the radio was Ward. I’m also certain Mack isn’t dead (yet.) Anybody who can take 4 or 5 shots in the back at close range isn’t going to be hurt by a little fall. Hell, landing on the runes at the bottom of the pit just might make him stronger.
No way it’s Ward - doesn’t sound anything like him. It’s definitely Whitehall - in fact, as soon as the radio announces “SHIELD 616. Do not engage your defenses or you will be shot out of the sky” May turns to Skye and says “Whitehall.” If it was Ward, you’d think they would have recognized his voice and commented on THAT, instead of being surprised that he’s now working for Hydra as he walked down the steps.
I’m watching online and on a DVR, so I can listen to voice samples of each character and compare it with the radio message. Absolutely not Ward, and if it isn’t Whitehall, it’s someone who sounds frighteningly like him. The message itself implies it’s directly from him too - “You have someone aboard that I want. A woman named Raina. I’m going to send over a representative to get her.”
