Lorelei.
Don’t assume your tastes are universal. I like Skye and am happy she isn’t being sidelined anymore.
And of course having people she thinks are her friends start talking about putting her down is a completely logical way to deal with someone whose powers are triggered by fear.
Then again, actively seeking out scary shit when you know you have this condition isn’t very smart either.
Some counseling is definitely in order here.
The special effects budget cannae take the strain.
Not if Skye goes to Asgard and that’s the last we ever see of her whiny special snowflake ass again.
Given that Skye has been a key piece of the show since its conception, and that the show has never been called Coulson but has always been called Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., you might be better served by not watching the show at all, since it will only disappoint you by being what it is, rather than the show you want to watch.
So does the Kree remain a perpetual amnesiac guest of Asgard, because if not, the minute he gets home somebody’s gonna re-neuralize him and it’ll start all over.
I think Val-tek will be a “guest” of Asgard for quite a little while. Or they will accidentally “lose” him somewhere.
I think regardless of the show being called Agents of SHIELD, it’s really about Scrappy-Doo Skye.
How was he even going to find the terrigenated person? He was in the same room as Sky while she used her powers and he didn’t make the connection. No Shir-loc, he.
Considering its remote location, Asgard doesn’t seem to do a very good job of keeping things in or out of Asgard.
I hope we see the Kree guy again.
Wonder if we’ll see Skrulls? Do they have the rights to them?
What I like about this show is that they are not afraid to take the long view and wait for storyline payoffs later. They did it last season when they transformed Ward from Generic Handsome Agent to the most compelling character on the show. This season they did the same for Skye, having made us hate her for 18 months.
I have confidence in the show runners. The occasional so so episode is worth it for the awesome stuff it leads up to.
How can you watch a Joss Whedon show and not expect it to be about the special snowflake waif girl?
We enjoyed these last couple of episodes. They moved the plot forward exponentially. It will be interesting to see where they take it now that Hydra is down (for the time being.) I’m excited to see more superhuman characters with Cal and his gang. It’s what I expected from a Marvel show in the first place.
With the many obelisks all being activated by Cal to turn create more Inhumans won’t that be sending alarm bells to more Kree and Asgardians to investigate? One of them got a Kree and Lady Sif, what would you expect if 5 more activate in short succession?
Or was it the city that sent the alarm bell?
I think it was the city. We have no idea how many obelisks have been activated, or when. One of them probably morphed Eyeless Joe, but how many there were total and if any more remain unactivated are questions they will have to address.
Are the obelisks single-use? That last one got kicked and broken, but if it hadn’t, would it have closed back up for reuse?
Unknown at this time. My guess is that they are single use, but that is just a guess.
I wonder if they took the time to use that alien doohickey and give that nurse her memory back.
Var-Tek said there were enough Diviners in the case “To create an army”, but when they opened it, there were only 5 indentations in the intergalactic packing foam. Maybe enough space under that for another 5. So either they expect 10 Inhumans to be an unbelievably powerful force (which I’ll buy for Skye, but not Raina, Skye’s mom, or eyeless teleportation guy), or they’re multi-use.
Good catch. And we know that each Diviner can morph multiple humans at the same time. So the limit might be how many people can fit in the room at a time.
