What an amazing life. Her first Olympics at age 31, in 1952, and her last Olympics at 35 in 1956.
She was able to do splits until her doctor asked her to stop at 100! 100!

They still do some of the moves she did, just way more aerials. The aerials are what pushed the age of gymnasts into teenagers.
She had witnessed so many of the darkest times of history.
