Agralond! I think I've found it!

I came across this tonight, and had to tell you… Light Sabers

Tell me what you think… I want one, and I think I can build one, and I sure cannot afford one ($1800). But I think with the right people, I can get this thing done. I don’t necesarily want a ‘replica’ as much as designing my own.

just dropping off some beer and crack…

This is the site I was thinking of in that other thread we had. I have no idea where it went. It looks great, but the only thing I don’t like is that the tube itself doesn’t retract.

I don’t think I want to drop $1800 on it, but building it would be a good project. That, and I’d rather use my own handle design. Hmmm. Time to hit 3D Studio and come up with a design. I’ll take a better look at the site when I get a chance and get back to you.

Yeah, I was disappointed that the tube itself doesn’t retract. But, if there is a way to store it in your cloak, put the tube into the handle and use it, I’d be all for that…

I sent some emails to some of my old physics professors asking about the “string lighting”. Basically, I was just asking them if it existed, and current uses, restrictions, cost, etc. I’m going to wait for their replies and see what I find.

Ladies, check a car audio supply website. String lighting, cheap. People use it to outline their dash and shit. You can start at http://www.sounddomain.com or something. They might have it. Just search for “car audio” + “neon lighting” with Google and I’m sure you’ll get a bajillion hits.
