So many in this thread are falling all overthemselves to say I am wrong in my estimation of his qualifications. If he were running for congress I would have no problem. In congress you can afford a learning curve. But no one in this thread, or anywhere else, has suggested any way that he may be qualified to lead the, what fifteenth, largest economy in the world?.
Whoever wins in CA is going to need to hit the ground running. Arnie is not prepared to do that.
And it isn’t just me. I have seen his lack of any administrative background being discussed virtually any time his candidacy was mentioned in newspapers or on TV all weekend long.
This is pure speculation on your part. You have no idea whether he was “wise” or lucky. Although, honestly I don’t know how anyone could have invested money in property in the last 50 and not made money hand over fist.
Again, unless you were there you have no idea of what his motivations were. You are just putting the most positive spin on it possible.

First of all, not just politicians but chief executives and not just chief executives but chief executives facing the worst fiscal crisis on the planet. And second of all I never said it needed to be academic credentials. In fact I would much prefer experience. Which he is also sorely lacking.
And you have now succeeded in finding yet another aspect of the job where Arnie has zero experience and zero training.
You can put a saddle on a cow but don’t expect to win the derby.
