That’s wonderful.
You inspired me. ST:TNG American Gothic
I’m no expert but I’m pretty sure the bat’leth should be facing the other way.
Too bad it wasn’t a calico.
I asked for a “candid photo of that girl your mother warned you about.” It gave me these two:
ETA: I tried to get it to add smoke but it wouldn’t do it. Policy violation stuff.
Seven out of eight images put only four fingers on the Tralfamadorian. I edited the best one manually (pun inadvertent but welcome) to add a fifth finger.
The only version given five fingers screwed up the text, but the silent, glowering Picard and the repeating Tralfamadorian makes it pretty hilarious. I’m going to edit the unwanted title text from that and consider it a keeper.
(BTW, “A single panel parody caricature drawing in the style of Mad Magazine cover art” is, as apparent, a working art style.)
I’ll say again, that’s some really advanced AI to understand so much from so little guidance.
Changed “girl” to “person” and tried it 4 times, mostly just to get an even row in the image library. These are the cropped thumbnails. The first and last were square, the middle two were portaits.
Funny in both cases it goes straight… there. I don’t know exactly what to call it. Breaking Bad extras?
These are just a couple of dumb jokes.
“Candid photo of that pet your mother warned you about”.
We have a sphynx cat, an American possum, and what seems to be two species of Australian possums.
Paging @Beckdawrek for a positive ID on Clarence…
Lo, I am become Death, destroyer of miceies.
I asked for a “cheesy 80s school portrait, blonde boy with braces and too big 80s glasses.” I’m pretty sure I knew that kid!
For comparison, a real possum photo of mine.
(I just searched for that photo and see that between photos I’ve taken and AI images I have 2456 images tagged as possums.)
Just a note, “nature close-ups” is the current monthly photo contest theme…
“80s family portrait, but with demons from Hell, and mom is human and completely over it.”
The rest of it is just okay but I think it really nailed “mom is completely over it.”
Not sure if I would pick that as my absolute favorite close-up/macro (maybe?) but since I had the URL handy I took your bait.
Playing with prompts filled with specific details. Most of the setting and one of the girls (second from left) come from a prompt I saw on Facebook yesterday (with a lot of prose that probably plays no role in the image results trimmed out). Godzilla and the flying saucer are my edition. The first and fourth girls are from short prompts in Chinese and Japanese seen on Sora last night (pasted into the prompt verbatim). The third girl is an adaptation from the “girl on a park bench with a capybara” prompt I worked on a couple of days ago.
This one stressed ChatGPT a bit. I included the two successful landscape images from a set, but two of the images had two versions of the third girl, not four separate characters.
Summary
High-resolution, cinematic beach boardwalk photograph of four girls standing side by side:

a rebellious teenage girl. She has wild, shoulder-length hair dyed in vivid pink and electric blue streaks, a confident expression and relaxed posture. She wears a faded graphic crop tank with a stylized animal print and a pair of distressed denim shorts. Her hands rest casually—one in her pocket and the other at her side.
A slender mid-teens girl. She has shoulder-length blonde hair that lies limp with water (a strand or two fall down around her forehead or face) and blue eyes. She wears a worn tan M-65 field jacket (open to expose a white cropped tank top underneath), fashionably-frayed faded black jeans and bulky white sneakers. She is cuddling a stuffed capybara doll and looking bored.

Behind them, the boardwalk stretches into the distance, lined with palm trees. Colorful umbrellas and the glistening ocean complete the backdrop, while the soft, golden light of late afternoon bathes the entire setting in warmth. Godzilla is rising from the ocean and swatting at a large Adamski style flying saucer.
You can see the two complete non-English Sora prompts embedded in that. Here is the complete Facebook prompt that contributed to it

Her hands rest casually—one in her pocket and the other at her side. This is a candid moment of youth and freedom. Behind her, the boardwalk stretches into the distance, lined with palm trees and scattered beachgoers walking or relaxing. Colorful umbrellas and the glistening ocean complete the backdrop, while the soft, golden light of late afternoon bathes the entire setting in warmth. The image combines photo-realism with strong visual storytelling, capturing the essence of summer attitude, personal style, and the joy of an ordinary beachside moment turned iconic.
I tried a version of your prompt where my custom instructions were active. My CI are optimized for fiction writing; I stressed to it characters might not act nicely.
Before getting an image, I tried a few times just asking for the text of the full prompt to see what will be in the image before committing to a full image generation. Not all of those text prompts mentioned her having a cigarette; I had it draw one where she did. No smoke at first, but it didn’t complain at me either time when I asked for the smoke.
In one of them, it chose to fix its mistake in how it drew her holding the man’s jacket.
And here’s one where my CI weren’t active, and it never left out the smoke in the first place:
ChatGPT’s copyright cop should have rejected this just as surely as it rejects all attempts to draw Mickey Mouse:
I was curious after getting reminded about the character for the first time in decades, from this thread.
