No, and I think it is because they are intrusive, judgmental, and oh so annoying!
Chelsea Handler rags PETA in, “Uganda Be Kidding Me”: "“I hate Peta,” she deadpans. “I will eat a cat to piss Peta off. I would fucking feed a parrot to a cat, cook them both and then eat it, just to piss them off. And send them a video.” 
Was PETA always a ridiculous caricature of itself or did I just not notice that when I was a kid?

Ads telling college students to drink beer instead of milk
“Milk Suckers” based on Garbage Pail Kids, these cards depict different horrible things that happen to you because you drink milk. PETA members attempted literally to hand these out to elementary school students.
“Holocaust On Your Plate” They claimed this idea was endorsed by an actual holocaust survivor. It may have been. These ads, as you might guess, compared killing animals for meat to the holocaust. I and many other people found this profoundly offensive. Claiming Jews, Romani, etc were not human and thus did not deserve human rights is ludicrous. Claiming cows, chickens etc are not humans is just stating scientific fact. We can argue over how they should be treated and what rights, if any, they have. But, they do not have human rights. The puprose of the holocaust was extermination. The purpose of the meat industry is to keep producing a population of healthy animals- so that we can kill and eat them.
“I’d rather be naked than wear fur!” This ad campaign taught us that killing animals and wearing them is wrong. Showing nude women to get attention is okay though.
PETA has also been against the ownership of pets for many years.
PETA thinks any publicity must be good, no matter how stupid and annoying it shows them to be, as long as someone is paying attention to them for a little while.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for major league baseball to rename the home of relief pitchers (the bullpen) as “arm barns” as PETA wants.
Yup. We’re not talking about American Humane, or SPCA, or HSUS, or any other animal welfare group right now. We’re talking about PETA. That is, in their eyes, a win.
If you’re fine giving them more victories according to the game they’re playing, keep talking about them. If you’d rather not further their “look at me!” agenda, roll your eyes at their puerile cries for attention and move on.
If they really knew anything about animals, they’d know that my cat owned me, and he only allowed me to live in HIS apartment because I was his servant 24/7.
Strange that the Jains have humane ethics even as strict if not more so than PETA, but I’ve never read of anyone being annoyed by a Jain

I’ll go further. Someone exercising their Constitutional right to bear arms on a public street will shoot the robot, claiming the robot was assaulting them. The D.A. will decide for the human and refuse to file charges. PETA will try to sue but won’t be able to find an unbiased jury.
