It just stays on “verifying” instead of just perhaps saying “wrong password” if it IS wrong. Only started today, this did. I downloaded the new AIM version-could that have done it?
So it says “verifying” indefinitely? Are you on a router? You may need to configure your ports if so.
Um…could you dumb that down for me?
How are you connected to the internet? Cable, DSL, dialup? If cable/DSL, does you computer plug directly to the line, or is there a router somewhere between? If so, you may need to open the ports that AIm uses in order to log on. http://www.portforward.com/ has some good information on forwarding ports.
