AIM question

Dopers, I know this seems rather absurd, but I just have to ask.

Every once in a while, someone on my AIM buddylist will have an away message that somehow customizes itself based on who’s looking at it. If it’s me, it’d be something like this:

“BlakeTyner, you’re awesome!”

But if it’s someone else, it’ll be their screen name instead of mine.

I want to say I used to know how to do this (maybe involving the % character) but it’s beyond me now. Anybody know how they do it?

Friggin kids today! :smack:

Being only two years removed from my teenage years I am only too happy to let you know that your memory is nearly dead on. All that you have to write in your away message to make someone elses screen name appear is %n.

Thank you.

%t should return the current time. Those are the only two characters I know of that will work.
