Edited to add: And the larger context made clear that the person talking on the podcast (Julia Turner, Slate’s editor-in-chief) clearly *did *agree with the sentiment, and included herself as aligned with the “some people” she referred to. (And there again, I used quotes, just to, you know, *quote *her, and I wonder how people interpret that…this is crazymaking stuff!)
