Facing the US Airways/American merger, has anyone any experience with this and its impact on your frequent flier miles? Or your airlines credit card? My US Airways card, administered by Barclays, is my go-to card that I pay off every month but love for the miles. I don’t know if I will lose the card, I suspect the miles will transfer. And US Airways lovely 6 mos. same as cash is probably gone as well. Boo hiss.
At this stage there’s no way to tell for sure what will be affected. I just hope the American airlines AAdvantage frequet flier program isn’t changed significantly, as it’s currently the easiest to actually use of any in the business.
Last time this happened to me they just combined the mileage.
