You know that old storytelling device, where the guy/girl makes a wild dash to the departure gate of the airport to catch their beloved before their plane takes off? Somehow, I feel there are loads of examples, but can only think of the last episode of Friends, and the kid in Love Actually Do you know of any others? I’m sure there are many way better than the ones I quote (btw Casablanca doesn’t count because Bogie doesn’t end up with Ingrid . (Hope these spoiler boxes work!)
Let me explain: I am planning on leaving London in September and thought to myself: why not nonchalantly let slip my flight details? Then I have only to wait at the departure gate for that dashing but shy English fellow to show up (but only after he’s been to the wrong gate/terminal/airport/city first) to declare himself.
