Al Qaeda endorses McCain...seriously.

Not surprising. They always hated Hussein and they probably think B. H. Obama’s a relative. They did say “$150,000… shi’ite, that’s a lot of burqas!” however.

The problem with any of this is whenever an enemy does something, you have to decide whether they were seeking the obvious reaction, or the obvious counter-reaction.

Should we all distrust McCain because Al Qaeda seems to like him, or should we figure that they figure that we don’t like Al Qaeda & therefore we’ll do the opposite of what they want, and thereby favor McCain?

The especially fun part is to consider that the stereotypical ignorant Palin fan would take the obvious interpretation & switch to Obama, just to piss off them towel heads, while the sterotypical overeducated overly-analytical Obama backer would see through that obvious ploy to the counter ploy of those clever but downtrodden Islamists, and therefore plan to frustrate Al Qaeda by switching to McCain.

Sowing confusion in the enemy ranks is almost always a good tactic. Bravo Osama; well played.

The US didn’t invade France or England and has never bombed them. The US overthrew the democratic government of Iran in 1953, and has been involved in disrupting the Middle East ever since. After 50 years of poking someone in the eye, there should be no surprise when they punch you back.

Too bad the poor sods misheard. They each get 72 Virginians to keep them company in the afterlife.

How soon we forget.

The US bombed the shit out of France in 1943 and 1944, and then rolled tanks across the country from one end to the other.

That was a liberation, not an invasion.

So was Iraq!
