Is there an identifiable accent Alan has, or if not, does someone know of a name for his speech pattern? It’s almost a lisp, but not really. He does have a lot of sibilance though.
I believe it’s an Essex accent.
Combined with a lateral lisp.
Sometimes also termed ‘Estuary English’.
